What better way to spend a holiday than taking the WHOLE family to the dog beach?!

That’s what my brother, his wife, and I thought when we took their dogs to Montrose Dog Beach today. We couldn’t be off enjoying the day with them all cooped up at the house!

Fun in the Sun

We were only there for about an hour, but it was a blast! The second we took those leashes off, the boys were bounding off, making friends and splashing in the water. Timber, who’s very sensitive, and I mean that in the most sarcastic way, tried getting in the water a few times but he was just not having those waves in his face. He was quick to stick around our beach towel setup and didn’t wander off.

Boo, on the other hand, couldn’t get enough of the water and loved running off. I’m glad the dog beach is fenced in, otherwise we probably wouldn’t have seen him again. He was so easy to lose track of because he just kept running off in different directions!

Snack Time!

Once he got over the initial excitement, Timber joined me and the Sis. in Law on our towels while my brother kept an eye on Boo. We snacked on grapes and a mix of sliced cheese on crackers, which was both light and filling!

All Days Come to an End

To Boo’s disappointment and Timber’s relief, we packed up and headed back home. But not before stopping to clean up all that nasty sand and mud off! We washed the dogs off at a local pet supplies store. By the look on their faces, the trip to the beach was not worth this consequence, but as you can see we really did have a lot of fun!
